Summer Engel is Director of Public Affairs at Wellington Dupont Public Affairs, based in Ottawa. In her role, Summer provides strategic government and stakeholder relations support for our clients. She brings a wide range of experience having worked with clients in a number of sectors including healthcare, biotechnology, aerospace manufacturing, PPE manufacturing, travel and tourism, and cleantech.
Summer has experience helping clients to successfully access government funding opportunities, navigate complex bureaucratic processes, and strategically advocate for their priorities to key stakeholders. She also has experience planning and coordinating press conferences for clients with the Canadian Parliamentary Press Gallery, including preparation of media advisories, and on-site management. In her professional career, Summer has also organized corporate events and meetings, and provided secretary services to corporate boards.
Originally from Bowmanville Ontario, Summer holds a degree in Political Science from Carleton University.
